Terms and Conditions
Last updated: June 22, 2026
1. Who these terms are with
These Terms and Conditions are between you and Steward AI Labs, the operator of Steward. Steward is software that helps users draft, review, and manage follow-up communications for overdue invoices.
By creating an account, starting a trial, purchasing a subscription, or continuing to use Steward, you agree to these terms.
2. Your authority and account
If you use Steward for an organization, you confirm that you have authority to bind that organization. You are responsible for keeping account credentials confidential and for activity that occurs under your account.
3. Acceptable use and AI outputs
You must not misuse Steward, including by using it unlawfully, sending spam or fraudulent communications, infringing intellectual property rights, uploading content you do not have rights to use, attempting to bypass security controls, probing or scraping the service, distributing malware, or using outputs to harass, deceive, impersonate, or harm others.
Steward may use AI to draft invoice follow-up content. You are responsible for your prompts, source data, review decisions, and final use of any output. AI outputs may be incomplete or inaccurate and should be reviewed before sending. We may restrict content, refuse outputs, or suspend access where we reasonably believe use breaches these terms or creates legal, security, or abuse risk.
4. Intellectual property
Steward AI Labs retains ownership of Steward, including the software, documentation, interface, branding, and other intellectual property. Subject to your compliance with these terms and your selected plan, we grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable right to use Steward for your internal business purposes.
You retain rights in the invoice data, customer information, prompts, and other content you provide. You grant Steward AI Labs the limited permission needed to host, process, transmit, and display that content solely to provide and improve Steward and support your account.
5. Payments, billing, tax, cancellations, and refunds
Our order process is conducted by our online reseller Paddle.com. Paddle.com is the Merchant of Record for all our orders. Paddle provides all customer service inquiries and handles returns.
Payment, billing, tax, cancellation, and refund mechanics are handled by Paddle and are governed by Paddle’s Buyer Terms, available at paddle.com/legal/checkout-buyer-terms, together with our Refund Policy.
6. Service availability
We aim to keep Steward reliable and useful, but we do not guarantee uninterrupted, error-free, or always-available performance. We may modify, suspend, or discontinue parts of the service where needed for maintenance, security, legal, or operational reasons.
7. Suspension and termination
We may suspend or terminate access if you materially breach these terms, fail to pay amounts due, create security or fraud risk, repeatedly or seriously violate acceptable-use requirements, or use Steward in a way that may harm Steward AI Labs, other users, or third parties.
8. Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Steward is provided without implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or non-infringement. Steward AI Labs is not liable for indirect, consequential, special, or punitive damages, including loss of profits, revenue, goodwill, or data. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot legally be limited.
9. Contact
For questions about these terms, contact Steward AI Labs through the support channel provided in the Steward application.
